Day 1: Arusha – Southern Serengeti / Ndutu Area
Your adventure begins with a morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha.
Meet your professional safari guide and begin your journey toward the Southern Serengeti and Ndutu, the heart of the calving season.
The journey takes you through the scenic landscapes of northern Tanzania and toward the vast plains where the Great Migration gathers.
As you approach the migration area, the landscape becomes increasingly alive with wildebeest, zebras and other grazing animals.
Depending on your arrival time, enjoy an afternoon game drive around Ndutu.
Look for large concentrations of wildebeest and zebra, newborn calves and predators following the herds.
As the sun sets across the plains, continue to your camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Full-Day Ndutu Calving Season Safari
Wake early for your first full day exploring the Ndutu calving grounds.
The early morning is one of the best times to observe wildlife. The cool temperatures encourage predators to remain active, while the soft morning light creates excellent conditions for photography.
Head out with your private guide to search for migrating wildebeest, zebra and newborn calves.
During the calving season, thousands of calves may be born across the plains over a relatively short period. This abundance of vulnerable young animals attracts predators, including lions, cheetahs, hyenas and other carnivores.
Your guide will monitor wildlife activity and choose routes based on recent sightings.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your afternoon game drive.
Return to camp in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

Day 3: Southern Serengeti – Great Migration Game Drives
Today is dedicated to following the migration and exploring the Southern Serengeti.
After an early breakfast, head into the plains for another full day of game viewing.
The location of the herds can change, so your experienced guide will use local knowledge to identify the areas with the best wildlife opportunities.
Search for huge wildebeest herds, zebra and gazelles moving across the grasslands.
The predators are never far away.
Keep watch for lions stalking herds, cheetahs scanning the plains and hyenas moving between groups of grazing animals.
You may also encounter elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, ostriches and numerous bird species.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush before continuing your exploration.
Return to camp in the late afternoon and enjoy a well-earned dinner beneath the African sky.

Day 4: Ndutu – Serengeti National Park
Enjoy an early morning game drive around Ndutu before continuing north toward the broader Serengeti ecosystem.

The Serengeti is home to some of Africa’s highest concentrations of large predators. Search for lions, cheetahs and leopards while watching herds of wildebeest and zebra spread across the plains.
Enjoy a picnic lunch during your game drive.
Continue toward your accommodation in the Serengeti, where you can relax and enjoy the sunset.

Day 5: Serengeti – Ngorongoro – Arusha
Wake early for your final Serengeti game drive.
Use the cooler morning hours to search for predators and other wildlife before beginning your journey back toward Arusha.
Depending on your departure time and travel arrangements, you may enjoy additional game viewing along the route.
Continue through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and onward to Arusha.
Arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon or evening, marking the end of your unforgettable 5-Day Serengeti Calving Season Safari.
